Two Stop Lifts By Builder or Client:

1. Make 400mm Pit Depth.

2. Install 80mm P.V.C. duct from plant room to lift pit.

3. Logan Elevators or the builder can dig the hole. Logan Elevators charge extra if the ground conditions are difficult to dig by hand auger. It is recommended from our experience that it is more economical that the builder arrange for an Excavator or Dial-A-Dingo to dig the hole. The hole should then be sleeved and capped until the ram unit is ready to be installed. Prices to dig a three metre hole by Auger are approximately $200.00

4. Install 40mm P.V.C. drain in pit (where necessary).

5. Supply pull handles for the outside of the lift doors. If the top floor door is half a door then a pull handle is not required. Make sure that the lift doors are made to plan on drawing one. This mean the doors must shut flush to the lift shaft. Logan Elevators will supply the door stops.

6. IMPORTANT: We require the following before final completion of lift.

• 1. Permenent Power to pump room - not temporary power.
• 2. Carpet for platform
• 3. Water permanently to site
• 4. Site clean

Due to foreign matter from activity on site with other sub-trades foreign matter contaminates the tank which results in blocking our filters and could possibly damaged the cup seal in the ram unit.

7. Lift shaft plumbness plus or minus 3mm.

8. Run corner beading on all four corners of lift shaft after lining complete. This is optional to make the lift shaft look tidy.

9. Pump Room:
Please make the minimum size of the pump room 600 x 600 x 2400. Prefer a cupboard, and please advise if the pump room will be smaller than specified.

10. Tank:
Lifts that are more than two metres away from the plant room require larger pumps - please advise if this is the case.

11 Vision ports in doors if this is a Semi-commercial lift.

By Plumber:

1 Plumber to install 15mm mains line with ball valve, in plant room.

1 Electrician to allow for sensor and light at the top of the lift shaft.

2 Electrician to allow for DOUBLE HORIZONTAL POWER POINT for pump.

Outside of liftwell lining must not be fitted until control box and wiring, flush boxes and interlocks are fitted. If access to liftwell through all levels cannot be made from outside the framing e.g. block construction or existing exterior walls then builder should check with LOGAN ELEVATORS to determine which interior lining must be cut prepared but not fitted, as this could otherwise prevent installation of wiring looms.
